PostSubject: The SSPPL - Trial Run   Fri Oct 19, 2012 2:26 am

Alright hipcats, buckle up and get ready for the Simply Sports Prediction Premier League!

It's a simple to play game, which requires you to use your knowledge of a variety of different sports, to predict the outcome of match ups.

HERE ARE THE RULES

• There will be 10 fixtures per Game week.

• 1 point will be awarded for the correct guess

• 3 points will be awarded for the correct margin as well

• You can only get three points if you guessed the correct margin AND your guess for the winning team (or draw) is correct

• Predictions MUST be submitted no less then 12 hours prior to the first event for the round, any late submissions will result in a penalty

• For each different sport a points system will be put in place. For example for football you must pick the winner and score line, for tennis you must pick the winner and in how many sets etc. As the fixtures get released we will release what the scoring system will be for that particular sport. I will go into more detail on this ASAP.

• In the case of a draw at the conclusion of a season the winner will be determined by whoever has the most spot on (3 point) predictions. If it's still tied, then whoever has recorded the highest score for a game week takes it.

• The winner at the conclusion of the season will be awarded with a prize.

• By all means some good old banter is completely fine but we will not tolerate any abusive behaviour towards anyone else in the competition. Penalties will apply if such incidences occur.

Thanks to Pav for writing this up. Any questions, we'll get round to answering them in this thread. Please join the trial run if you have time, it's really not that time consuming, and give some feedback, no matter how pedantic it may seem.

OH YEAH, should mention the trial run is probably just one game week. But if we have to chop and change a lot then we'll have to do another. Cheers big ears and leap years.

I don't know if there will be cricket (too many draws). There will be AFL though which to be honest baffles everyone, but I guess we have to keep the Aussies happy Smile
